Brian Tenholder, Owner
Tenholder Travel, LLC
There are a few important things you should know about me right off the bat:
1. I love to travel.
2. I’m a people-person.
3. Details are my bread and butter.
4. Baseball season (especially the St. Louis Cardinal’s season) is sacred.
I didn’t always know I wanted to be a travel agent – I actually started my career in engineering. I grew up in St. Louis, MO (see #4 above), and received a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from The University of Missouri – Rolla and an MBA from The University of North Carolina – Charlotte. My wife of 25 years, Jolie, and I traveled around the globe for work and vacation and fell in love with visiting new places, new cultures, and new people.
We relocated to Charlotte, NC, and had our two children, Peter and Sarah. We both knew right away that we wanted to make travel a priority for our family. After a few years of “working for” Peter and Sarah as a stay-at-home dad and planning many, many vacations for our family (our kids have been to 48 states!), I decided to make travel my career, and I’ve never looked back.
I believe that travel is one of the best gifts you can give yourself and your loved ones, but I also know that not everyone loves the nitty gritty details of travel like I do. As your travel agent, I will take the stress and guesswork out of planning a memorable family vacation. Whether it’s a honeymoon, anniversary, multi-generational cruise, or a family vacation to Orlando, I can handle all aspects of your travel plans – from choosing a destination to planning and booking transportation, lodging, activities and more. I am detail-oriented, very thorough, and never more than a phone call, text, or email away.
Through my own extensive family travel, I have first-hand knowledge of some of the most popular travel destinations, including Hawaii, Tahiti, Alaska, Europe, the Bahamas, St. Lucia, Jamaica, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Asia and other lesser-known destinations like the smaller islands of the Caribbean. I’m also well-versed in Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Universal Studios and can share all of my tips and tricks so your trip is not just seamless, but enjoyable.
Since your trip doesn’t end once you choose the perfect location, my job doesn’t either. Sure, I’m around for all aspects of the planning process, but I’m also available to help with anything that comes up during your trip. And, once you’re back home, feel free to share your photos and videos with me – I love hearing about the places you’ve been.
